Privacy policy

This policy explains what Ogling collects when you use it, why, who helps us run it, and what you can ask us to do with your data.
What we collect
Your account
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a user ID. If you continue as a guest, we create an anonymous account with a random ID and no email address.
What you add
- Titles you import or create, the pages you upload and their translations
- Your list: the titles you save, with their status, rating and notes
- Where you stopped reading or watching
- Messages you send to characters and their replies
- Prompts you write in Create and the images and videos they produce
Technical data
A session cookie keeps you signed in. Our hosting providers keep standard request logs, such as IP address, browser type and the time of a request. On the production site we use Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights to count page views and measure performance.
How we use it
- To run Ogling: sign you in, show your library and list, and remember your progress
- To do what you ask: translate pages, answer character chats, generate images and video
- To keep it working: fix bugs, prevent abuse and track what each job costs us to run
We don’t sell your personal information.
AI processing
Pages you translate are sent to our translation service and to an AI model provider that reads and translates the text. Character messages and Create prompts are sent to AI model providers to produce a reply, an image or a video. Don’t upload or write anything you don’t want processed this way.
Who helps us run Ogling
These providers process data only to deliver their part of the service:
- Convex: database, file storage and backend
- Vercel: website hosting, analytics, and access to AI models through its AI Gateway
- Modal: GPU hosting for our translation and image services
- OpenRouter: access to the model that reads and translates page text
- Google: signing in, if you choose it
Each provider handles data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Guest accounts
A guest account lives in your browser session. If you clear your cookies or switch browsers, you may lose access to what you added as a guest.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep your data while your account exists. You can delete titles from your Library at any time. To get a copy of your data, correct it, or delete your account and everything in it, email legal@ogling.ai. We’ll reply within 30 days.
Children
Ogling isn’t meant for children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you think a child has given us personal information, email legal@ogling.ai and we’ll delete it.
Changes
When this policy changes, we update it here and change the date at the top. Using Ogling after a change means you accept the updated policy.
